The Science and Research Centre of the University of Primorska is based on interdisciplinary research, where humanities and social and natural sciences mingle and intertwine. A special emphasis is put on the research of Mediterranean and Upper Adriatic regions in comparison with Central Europe and especially with the whole Slovenian area. The mission of the Centre is to constructively contribute to the development of knowledge society through scientific, research, expert and educational work and thus accept responsibility for a harmonious development of Slovenia in its region, Europe and worldwide.
