The main activities of the Institute for biodiversity studies are the basic scientific research on the level of species, genetic and ecosystem diversity (identification of subjects and organisms, the genetic diversity of populations, the impact of ecosystem diversity on the population heterozygosity,...), as well as cooperative operational activities for the protection of the environment (preparation of lists of endangered species and action plans for their conservation, identification of species, counseling on interventions in the environment).
