The Institute for Mediterranean Heritage UP SRC is an interdisciplinary research unit that coordinates and conducts research at the regional and international levels and is in charge of the development of contents and programs related to heritage in the broadest sense. Linking various humanistic sciences with their own research fields, the institute garners creative potential and combines research approaches of various scientific disciplines related to the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. The aims of the Institute of Mediterranean Heritage are not only to perform professional analyses and coordinate conservation procedures, but also to evaluate the heritage and publish the findings in scientific circles and present them to the general public.
